More Than a Smooth Surface
A good finish does more than look clean. It seals the surface against moisture, adds slip resistance where you need it, and protects the concrete from the wear that comes with high heat and heavy use. Done right, it adds years to the life of a driveway, floor or patio.
Timing is everything with finishing, and the Las Vegas climate gives us a narrow window. Our crews know how to work the surface at the right moment so it cures properly instead of flaking or cracking later. That experience is the difference between a finish that holds and one that fails.
- Broom, trowel, smooth and textured finishes
- Decorative, stamped and polished options
- Sealing for moisture and wear protection
- Residential, commercial and industrial floors
Popular Concrete Finishes We Offer
From a simple broom finish on a driveway to a mirror-polished commercial floor, we tailor the finish to the space.
Stamped Concrete
The look of brick, stone or wood pressed into the surface at a fraction of the material cost.
Decorative Concrete
Color, pattern and texture worked in to turn plain flatwork into a feature, then sealed to protect it.
Polished Concrete
A glossy, high-end finish that is durable and easy to maintain for homes and businesses.
Epoxy Coatings
A tough, resistant surface that revives old floors and handles high-traffic and industrial use.
Broom & Textured
Slip-resistant finishes ideal for driveways, walkways and pool decks in a hot climate.
Smooth Trowel
Clean, level finishes for interior floors and surfaces where a polished look comes later.
How we finish concrete right in the Las Vegas heat
Finishing is not a single step at the end of a pour. It is a sequence of moves timed to the concrete and the weather, and getting the sequence wrong shows up on the surface for years.
1. Weather-aware scheduling
We schedule pours around the forecast. In Las Vegas summers, a noon pour is a problem. Early-morning starts give us a better temperature window and more time to work the surface correctly.
2. Strike-off and screeding
As concrete goes in, a screed or straightedge levels the surface flush with the forms. This step sets the overall flatness of the finished slab.
3. Bull-floating
A bull float is pushed across the surface to smooth ridges, fill low spots, and push coarse aggregate just below the top before bleed water appears.
4. Waiting on bleed water
In desert heat, the window between too-wet and too-stiff can be very short. Our crews read the surface and hold off until the sheen clears, then move. Working bleed water back into the finish is what causes scaling and surface weakness.
5. Edging, joints, and hand work
Edges are tooled, control joints are cut at the correct spacing for the slab dimensions, and any decorative or custom work is done by hand before the final pass.
6. Final finish and sealing
The specified finish goes on at the right moment: broom dragged for traction, trowel worked for smoothness, or stamp impressed for a decorative surface. A curing compound or sealer is applied immediately after to lock in strength and protect the surface.
Climate-Smart Finishing
Heat and dry air make concrete set fast, and a finish applied at the wrong moment is a finish that fails. We schedule and work each pour around the conditions, so the surface cures evenly and the finish you pay for is the finish you keep.
- Finishes timed to the Las Vegas climate
- Quality sealers for lasting protection
- Finish matched to traffic and use
- Clean, professional results every time
What affects the price of concrete finishing
For new flatwork, finishing is built into the project cost, not a separate line item. When it comes up as a standalone question, it usually means one of these scenarios.
Finish type on a new pour
A standard broom finish is the base. Decorative stamping, integral color, or exposed aggregate are add-ons that get priced at the estimate stage so you know the cost before the pour date is set.
Decorative overlays on existing concrete
Applying a finish to an existing slab, whether a microtopping, a resurfacing coat, or an epoxy system, is a separate project priced by square footage, prep needed, and the product being applied.
Polishing and specialty coatings
Concrete polishing and commercial epoxy floors are multi-step processes with their own pricing based on the existing slab condition, the gloss level desired, and any color or flake options.
Sealing and maintenance
Resealing an existing concrete surface is a straightforward service priced by area. We recommend it every few years for outdoor flatwork in the Las Vegas climate to protect against UV breakdown.
Whatever the finishing scenario, we scope and price it honestly at a free estimate. Call (702) 766-5401 or use the form below.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you do custom designs for a finishing project?
Yes. We handle custom and complex finishing requests, from specific color blends to stamped patterns and textures. We talk through your goal during the estimate and tailor the finish to the property and how the space gets used.
How does the Las Vegas climate affect concrete finishing?
High heat and dry air make concrete cure quickly, which shrinks the window for finishing the surface correctly. We plan timing and technique around those conditions so the finish sets properly instead of flaking, cracking or curing unevenly.
How do I maintain a finished concrete surface?
Keep it clean, reseal it on the schedule we recommend, and address any small chips or stains early. Sealed and decorative finishes hold up well in the desert, and basic upkeep keeps them looking new for years.
Which finish lasts longest in high-traffic areas?
Polished concrete and epoxy coatings are the toughest options for floors that take heavy use, which is why they are popular in commercial and industrial settings. We recommend the right finish based on the traffic and the look you want.
What is the difference between a broom finish and a trowel finish?
A broom finish drags a stiff brush across the fresh surface, leaving a slightly textured, slip-resistant surface that works well for driveways, walkways, and pool decks. A smooth trowel finish is tight and flat, used for interior floors and slabs that will be polished, coated, or covered with flooring later.
Is concrete finishing included in the price of a new pour?
Yes. For new flatwork, the finish is part of the project scope and quoted upfront. You choose the finish type at the start, whether broom, trowel, stamped, or textured, and that is included in the price. Specialty finishes like decorative stamping or integral color are add-ons that are priced separately during the estimate conversation.
How do you manage the short working window in Las Vegas heat?
We schedule pours for early morning in summer, use admixtures when conditions call for it to extend working time, and size the crew and equipment to match the area being poured. The goal is enough hands on the surface to finish it properly before the heat closes the window.
How long do I need to stay off a freshly finished slab?
Light foot traffic is typically safe at 24 hours. Normal vehicle traffic should wait 7 days. Full cure to design strength takes 28 days, and heavy equipment should not go on the surface until then. We give you specific guidance based on the mix design and conditions on pour day.
