A Patio Is a Build, Not Just a Pour
Anyone can pour a square of concrete. A patio that actually gets used takes planning. We start by looking at how the sun hits your yard, where water needs to go, and how the space connects to your home, your pool and your landscaping. Then we design a layout around how you want to live out there, whether that is a quiet morning spot or a place that hosts a crowd.
We have built patios across the Las Vegas Valley for over 30 years, so the design is dialed in for the desert from the start. Solar-reflective finishes to cut the heat, the right concrete mix and reinforcement for our temperature swings, and a drainage plan that keeps water moving away from the house. The result is an outdoor room that holds up and stays comfortable instead of a slab that bakes all summer.
- Custom layout planned around sun, drainage and how you use the space
- Engineered slab with the right mix and reinforcement for the desert
- Heat-smart finishes and solar-reflective options
- Covers, pergolas and seat walls built in, not bolted on after
The Pieces That Make It Work
A finished patio is more than the slab. These are the elements we design and build so your outdoor space holds up to the desert and matches how you want to use it.
Layout & Grading
We plan the footprint and set the grade so the patio flows with your yard and sits at the right height against the house and any steps.
Footings & Slab
Proper compaction, footings where posts and walls land, and a reinforced slab poured to thickness so the patio does not settle or crack.
Drainage
A deliberate slope and drainage plan that carries water off the surface and away from your foundation, which matters in our flash storms.
Finishes
Broom, stamped, exposed aggregate or stained. We match the finish to your home and pick solar-reflective options to keep the surface cooler.
Covers & Pergolas
Shade is not optional in Las Vegas. We build in patio covers and pergolas, with footings set during the pour so the structure is solid.
Seat Walls & Features
Seat walls, planters and built-in edges that define the space, add seating and tie the patio into the rest of your hardscape.
One Crew From Design to Finish
Because we design and build the whole patio in house, the cover footings, the drainage and the slab all get planned together instead of fought over later. We handle permits with Clark County or your municipality, work with your HOA rules, and keep you in the loop at every phase. You get a patio that was thought through, not pieced together.
- 30+ years building outdoor concrete in the Las Vegas Valley
- Residential and commercial patios, large and small
- Permit and HOA coordination handled for you
- Licensed, insured, and clear with you from start to finish

How We Build Your Patio
A design-build patio project has more moving parts than a basic slab pour. Here is how we run the job from the first site visit to the day you walk out on the finished surface.
Design Consultation
We look at the yard together. Sun angle, how water moves across the property, where the patio connects to the house and any steps or pool decking, and how you plan to use the space. We sketch the layout with dimensions before anything else is decided.
Permit Coordination
For most covered patio work and structures in Clark County or surrounding cities, we pull the permit. We handle the application, submit the plans, and schedule inspections so you do not have to navigate the Clark County Building Department.
Site Prep and Grading
Excavate to the right depth, remove existing material, and set the precise grade. For a patio, the grade has two jobs: look flat to the eye and shed water away from the foundation. We set both.
Form Work, Footings and Reinforcement
Forms go in for the slab perimeter, cover post footings are set now, not drilled later, and rebar is tied through the full slab. If seat walls or planters are included, their footings are set in this stage too.
Concrete Pour and Finish
Concrete placed and consolidated, then finished to the spec you chose. Broom, stamped, exposed aggregate, stained. For stamped work, the pattern mats go in while the concrete is workable. For solar-reflective finishes, the right sealer goes on once the surface has cured.
Cover and Structure Install
Once the slab has cured sufficiently, patio covers, pergola framing and any built-in seat walls are constructed. Because the post footings were set during the pour, the structure anchors properly with no drilling into finished concrete.
What a Patio Costs in Las Vegas
Patio costs in Las Vegas depend on size, finish and what you are adding beyond the slab. Here are the ranges that apply to this market.
Standard Concrete Patio
A broom-finish or smooth concrete patio in Las Vegas typically runs $10-15 per square foot. That covers a properly prepared sub-base, a reinforced slab, and a standard finish. Size and access affect where your project lands in that range.
Stamped or Decorative Patio
Stamped and decorative patio work typically starts at $13-20+ per square foot for standard patterns and goes to $18-31 per square foot for premium multi-color stamped work. The pattern, color system and number of finishing steps drive the final number.
Covers and Shade Structures
A patio cover or pergola is priced separately from the slab. The type (lattice, solid roof, aluminum, wood) and the span determine the material and labor cost. Footings are included in the slab work when planned together.
Seat Walls and Built-in Features
Seat walls, planters and built-in edges add to the total but add significant function and value to the space. These are priced by linear foot at the estimate stage once dimensions are confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a permit for a patio in Las Vegas?
Usually, yes, especially once a cover, electrical or attachment to the house is involved. Requirements depend on the size, the height, and whether the patio is covered. We handle the permit process through the Clark County Building Department or your municipality and make sure the build meets local zoning and HOA rules so you do not have to chase any of it.
How long before I can use a new patio?
Concrete reaches full strength at around 28 days, but you can walk on the patio after 24 to 48 hours. We recommend waiting about a week before putting heavy furniture on it. During the early cure we keep moisture levels right and protect the surface from extreme heat so it does not crack, and we give you specific guidance for your pour.
Can you add a cover or pergola to the patio?
Yes, and the best time to plan it is before we pour. We set footings for posts during the slab work so the cover or pergola is anchored solid. We offer a range of cover styles, from solid roofs that block the sun completely to lattice and aluminum designs, matched to your home and the look you want.
How do you keep a patio from cracking in the heat?
It comes down to prep and control. We compact the base properly, use the right mix and reinforcement for our temperature swings, place control joints so the concrete moves where we want it to, and cure it the right way. We can also use solar-reflective finishes to cut surface temperatures, which helps the slab and keeps the patio more comfortable underfoot.
Can you expand or match my existing patio?
Yes. We can expand or modify an existing patio and blend the new concrete in. We look at the current mix, texture and color, then use surface prep, bonding agents and color matching to get a seamless result. We also account for expansion joints and any elevation change so the whole surface stays sound.
What does patio installation cost in Las Vegas?
A standard broom-finish concrete patio in Las Vegas typically runs $10-15 per square foot. Stamped or decorative patio work starts around $13-20 per square foot and goes higher for premium multi-color patterns. Covers, pergolas and seat walls are priced separately based on the scope. We give you a written breakdown at the free estimate so you know exactly what each piece of the project costs before committing to anything.
How long does a patio installation take?
A straightforward concrete slab takes a day to pour and finish, then needs about a week before light use and 28 days to reach full strength. Projects with a patio cover or pergola take longer because the structure goes up after the slab has cured sufficiently. A full design-build patio with cover, seat walls and a stamped finish typically runs 2 to 4 weeks from start to finish, depending on permit timing and scope.
What finish works best for a patio in Las Vegas?
Exposed aggregate and light-colored broom finishes tend to stay cooler underfoot than dark stamped finishes in full sun. Solar-reflective sealers help regardless of finish type. For a formal or decorative look, stamped concrete with a medium-tone release color reads well and holds up to the UV. We talk through the tradeoffs at the design stage so the finish you pick is one you will be happy with in summer.
Can you install a patio around a pool?
Yes, and pool deck work is a common part of our patio projects. The key differences are drainage, slip resistance and the finish choice. Concrete around a pool needs a deliberate slope to drain away from the water's edge, a surface texture that holds traction when wet, and a sealer that handles constant moisture and pool chemicals. We plan all three into pool-adjacent patio work from the start.
