Built to last 30+ years

A concrete slab is the base that everything else sits on. A garage floor, a shed pad, a warehouse floor, a foundation. Get the slab right and the structure above it stays sound. Get it wrong and you fight cracks and settling for years. We pour slabs engineered for the load they will carry.

Our reinforced slabs are built for high-stress areas where strength is not optional. We compact and grade the subbase, lay a vapor barrier where it is needed, set rebar or mesh, and pour to the correct thickness and PSI for the job. The Las Vegas climate, with its intense heat and minimal rainfall, gets its own mix and curing plan so the slab gains full strength without surface cracking. Precision in the prep is what separates a slab that lasts from one that fails.

  • Compacted subbase and vapor barrier where required
  • Rebar or wire mesh sized to the structural load
  • Correct thickness and PSI for the application
  • Epoxy coatings and finishes available

What does a concrete slab cost in Las Vegas?

Slab pricing varies significantly by application, thickness, and reinforcement level. A shed pad and a commercial warehouse floor are built to different specs and priced accordingly. Here are typical reference points for the Las Vegas Valley.

Residential flatwork slabs

Standard residential slabs for sheds, patios, and similar flatwork typically run $10 to $15 per square foot installed, covering subbase prep, rebar, the pour, and a broom or trowel finish.

Garage and shop floors

Heavier-duty garage and shop slabs with reinforced steel and a trowel finish fall in a similar range, but the cost climbs with added thickness, higher PSI mix, or specialty coatings like epoxy. Get an estimate for your specific load requirements.

Structural and commercial slabs

Foundation slabs, warehouse floors, and commercial pads are priced after a free on-site inspection because scope and engineering requirements vary significantly project to project. Contact us for a site-specific quote.

Slab types

Concrete slabs we pour

Foundation slabs

Slab-on-grade foundations for homes, additions, and outbuildings, engineered to carry the structure and tie into footings that hold against soil movement.

Garage and shop floors

Heavy-duty slabs built to take vehicle weight, jacks, and equipment, with optional epoxy coatings for a tough, easy-clean surface.

Shed and equipment pads

Level pads for sheds, generators, HVAC units, and storage, sized and reinforced so the equipment sits dead flat and stays put.

Commercial and warehouse floors

High-load industrial slabs for warehouses, shops, and storefronts, poured for forklift and rack loads with the flatness those operations demand.

Reinforced structural slabs

Engineered slabs for high-stress areas where extra steel and thickness keep the surface from flexing, cracking, or failing under heavy use.

Epoxy-coated slabs

Slabs finished with epoxy coatings for a robust, long-lasting layer that resists wear, chemicals, and stains in garages, shops, and commercial spaces.

Why Centurion

Slabs engineered to perform

A slab is only as strong as the base under it and the steel inside it. We focus on precision, durability, and getting the engineering right for the load. If an issue ever shows up after the pour, we evaluate it properly and use targeted repair techniques rather than a quick patch, so the slab keeps performing for the long term.

Step by step

Our concrete slab installation process

1. Engineering review and site assessment

We evaluate the intended load, soil conditions, and any site constraints before sizing the slab. Caliche and expansive clay are common in the Las Vegas Valley and need to be accounted for before a single form goes in.

2. Excavation and sub-base preparation

We excavate to the required depth for your slab thickness, remove any soft or unstable material, and bring in compacted road base to create a firm, uniform surface that will not shift once the concrete is down.

3. Vapor barrier and isolation joints

Where the slab will enclose a conditioned space, a vapor barrier goes down before the steel. Isolation joints separate the slab from existing structures and footings so each element can move independently.

4. Rebar placement and form work

Steel rebar or mesh is laid on chairs at the correct depth for the slab thickness, sized to the anticipated load. Forms go in to hold dimensions and grade. We check level before calling for the pour.

5. Concrete pour and finishing

Ready-mix is placed, consolidated, and screeded flat. Trowel or broom finish, depending on the application. Large industrial pours may use a power screed and ride-on trowel for the flatness a warehouse demands.

6. Wet cure and surface protection

We cure the slab with water or curing compound to prevent rapid moisture loss in the desert heat. Control joints are cut to guide any early shrinkage cracking. The slab is protected from traffic until it has reached adequate strength for its intended use.

Concrete slab FAQ

How does the Las Vegas climate affect a concrete slab?

The extreme heat and minimal rainfall here can challenge a slab's durability if it is poured and cured carelessly. We use mixes and curing methods tuned for intense heat and low humidity, which keeps the surface from drying too fast and cracking. Done with the right materials and techniques, our slabs hold up to the harshest desert conditions.

How thick should a concrete slab be?

It depends on the load. A shed pad or patio slab is thinner than a garage floor, and a warehouse or structural slab is thicker still with heavier reinforcement. We size the thickness, PSI, and steel to the actual use so you are not paying for more than you need or settling for less than the job requires.

What do you do if a slab cracks or settles after pouring?

We address it head on. We evaluate the cause, then use the right repair technique for the situation, whether that is sealing, leveling, or a more involved structural fix. The goal is always long-term durability, not a cosmetic patch that hides the problem until it comes back.

Can you add an epoxy coating to a slab?

Yes. We apply epoxy coatings that beautify the concrete while adding a robust, long-lasting protective layer. It resists wear, chemicals, and stains, which makes it a popular choice for garage floors, shops, and commercial slabs that take heavy use.

How do you keep a slab from cracking over time?

It starts with the prep. We compact the subbase, set reinforcement correctly, place control joints to direct any cracking, and cure the slab properly so it gains strength evenly. Routine pressure washing and sealing afterward keep the surface clean and protected for the long haul.

How much does a concrete slab cost in Las Vegas?

Standard residential flatwork slabs typically run $10 to $15 per square foot installed, covering subbase prep, rebar, the pour, and a finished surface. Garage and commercial slabs with higher load requirements, thicker sections, or specialty coatings are priced after a free on-site inspection since scope varies significantly. Contact us for an itemized estimate specific to your project.

Do I need a permit for a concrete slab in Las Vegas?

It depends on the type of slab and where you are in Clark County. A small utility pad often does not require a permit, but a foundation slab, garage floor tied to a new structure, or any slab over a certain area threshold will. The City of Las Vegas, Henderson, and unincorporated Clark County each have their own rules. We pull the necessary permits when the project requires them. See our Las Vegas concrete permit guide for more detail.

What PSI concrete do you use for residential slabs in Las Vegas?

Most residential slabs are poured at 3,000 to 4,000 PSI. We go higher on garage floors, commercial slabs, or anywhere a slab needs to carry forklifts or heavy equipment. We choose the right mix for the application and the time of year, since summer heat requires adjustments to the water-cement ratio and admixtures to protect the slab during curing.

How do you handle caliche or expansive soil before pouring a slab?

Caliche is common across the Las Vegas Valley and can create drainage problems and uneven support if it is not properly managed. We evaluate the soil during the site inspection, over-excavate where caliche is shallow or problematic, and import compacted fill or road base to build a stable subgrade. Expansive clay gets similar treatment, with moisture conditioning and adequate base depth to reduce slab movement over time.
