A concrete patio is the foundation of backyard living in Las Vegas. It is where the grill goes, where the table sits, and where the family ends up on a warm evening. A patio poured right gives you a flat, durable surface that handles the heat and adds real value to the home.
The Las Vegas climate is hard on a patio. Daytime heat expands the slab and nighttime cooling pulls it back, and without proper joints and sealing that movement turns into cracks. We pour on a compacted base, place control joints where they belong, slope the slab so water runs off, and seal the surface so it holds up season after season. The result is a patio that stays flat and clean instead of crumbling at the edges.
- Compacted base with proper slope for drainage
- Control joints and sealing to fight heat cracking
- Stamped, colored, and broom-finish options
- Sized and shaped to your yard and layout
What does a concrete patio cost in Las Vegas?
Patio costs depend on size, shape, finish, and whether we are adding new flatwork or expanding an existing slab. Below are the typical ranges in the Las Vegas Valley. Get a free on-site estimate for an exact number.
Broom-finish patio slab
A clean, functional broom-finish patio typically runs $10 to $15 per square foot installed, including site prep, a compacted base, rebar, and a properly sloped finished surface.
Stamped or decorative patio
Stamped finishes that mimic stone, slate, or brick start around $13 to $20+ per square foot, and premium stamped patio work with multiple colors can run $18 to $31 per square foot depending on design complexity.
What moves the price
Patio size, access constraints in the backyard, any demo of existing concrete, cover or kitchen footings tied in, and your finish selection all factor into cost. We put everything in writing before any work begins.

Concrete patio styles we build
Stamped concrete patios
Patterns and textures that mimic flagstone, slate, brick, or wood plank, finished and colored to give you a high-end look without the upkeep of pavers.
Colored and stained patios
Integral color throughout the slab or acid stains and dyes layered on top for warm, natural tones that pair with your home and landscaping.
Broom-finish patios
A clean, slip-resistant classic. Durable, budget-friendly, and the right call when you want a solid surface that just works.
Covered patio slabs
Solid footings and slabs built to carry a patio cover or pergola, poured with the structure in mind so the posts sit on something that will not move.
Outdoor kitchen and fire pit pads
Reinforced pads ready for a built-in kitchen, bar, or fire feature, poured to handle the weight and tie into the main patio cleanly.
Patio extensions
Grow an existing patio or wrap it around the yard, matched to your current concrete so the addition reads as one continuous space.
A patio that earns its place in the yard
Anyone can pour a flat gray pad. We design the patio around how you actually use the space, set the prep to handle desert soil movement, and finish it so it looks like part of the home rather than an afterthought. Quality craftsmanship, on time, done once and done right.

Our concrete patio installation process
1. Design walkthrough and layout
We meet on-site, measure the yard, and talk through how you use the space. Shape, size, any covers or kitchens, and your finish choice all get locked down before we dig.
2. Excavation and sub-grade prep
We remove existing material down to stable soil. Soft or expansive spots get addressed here, before anything goes on top, so the finished slab does not settle unevenly later.
3. Compaction and base course
Compacted road base goes in and is mechanically tamped to a firm, uniform surface. We check the slope so water drains off the patio and away from the house foundation.
4. Form setting and reinforcement
Forms go in to define the edges and hold the shape during the pour. Rebar or wire mesh is placed on chairs so the steel sits correctly in the slab and carries the load it is there for.
5. Pour, finish, and texture
Ready-mix is placed, spread, and screeded to the correct grade. Your chosen finish, broom, stamped, stained, or exposed aggregate, gets applied in the window before the concrete stiffens.
6. Curing period and sealer
We keep foot traffic off for at least 24 to 48 hours and allow a full cure before the patio takes any furniture or grill weight. A quality sealer goes on last to protect against UV fading, staining, and moisture.
Concrete patio FAQ
How does the Las Vegas climate affect a concrete patio?
Extreme daytime heat expands concrete and the sharp temperature drop at night contracts it, which stresses the slab. Proper joint placement, the right mix, and regular sealing are what keep that movement from turning into cracks. We build for our climate so your patio stays solid through the summers.
Can a concrete patio increase my property value?
Yes. A well-designed patio expands your usable outdoor living space, lifts curb appeal, and gives buyers a finished area for entertaining, all of which add value. In Las Vegas, where outdoor living is a big part of the lifestyle, a quality patio is a strong return on the investment.
How long does it take to build a concrete patio?
A typical concrete patio takes about one to two weeks from start to finish, depending on size, finish, and any cover or kitchen work tied into it. We keep the schedule tight and the quality high, so you get a patio done on time without shortcuts.
Do I need a permit for a concrete patio in Las Vegas?
It depends on the size and scope of the project, and requirements vary across the valley. We know the local rules and handle the permitting for you when a project calls for it, so you do not have to chase paperwork or worry about compliance. For a full overview of what triggers a permit here, see our Las Vegas concrete permit guide.
What finishes can I choose for my patio?
You have plenty of options. Stamped patterns that mimic stone or brick, integral color or acid stains for richer tones, exposed aggregate for texture, or a clean broom finish. We will show you what fits your home's style and your budget before we pour.
How much does a concrete patio cost in Las Vegas?
A standard broom-finish patio typically runs $10 to $15 per square foot installed. Stamped and decorative finishes start around $13 to $20+ per square foot, and premium stamped work with multiple colors can reach $18 to $31 per square foot. The final price depends on size, any existing concrete to remove, the finish you select, and whether the slab needs to support a patio cover or outdoor kitchen. What permits are required for a patio slab in Clark County?
A basic ground-level patio slab in the same footprint as existing concrete often does not need a permit in Clark County. But adding a covered structure, building in a setback, or pouring within a utility easement can trigger review by the building department. The City of Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas each have their own thresholds. We pull the permits when the job requires them. See our concrete permit guide for specifics.
What is the difference between stamped and broom-finish concrete for a patio?
Broom finish puts a light texture in the surface with a brush drag, giving you a slip-resistant, clean look at the lower end of the cost range. Stamped concrete uses rubber mats pressed into the wet slab to imprint stone, brick, or slate patterns, and adds color hardeners for depth. Stamped costs more but delivers a noticeably higher-end visual that reads like natural material from any distance.
Can I add a concrete patio to an existing backyard without major disruption?
Yes. Most residential patio pours take one to two days for the pour itself, with access through a side gate or over the fence if needed. We prep carefully to protect existing landscaping, and the crew leaves the site clean. You will be back to using the yard within about a week, once the slab is strong enough for furniture and foot traffic.
