High-End Looks, One-Piece Durability
Stamped concrete gives you the texture and color of pavers, flagstone or brick without the joints, weeds and shifting that come with individual units. It is one solid pour, stamped while wet, so you get the upscale look with far less long-term upkeep.
It also takes the desert seriously. A properly poured and sealed stamped surface shrugs off intense sun and the rare hard rain, and it will not wash out, sink unevenly or sprout grass through the seams. For most patios and entries it costs less to install and less to maintain than the real material it imitates.
- Mimics stone, brick, slate and wood plank
- No joints for weeds, ants or shifting pavers
- Costs less than natural stone or hardscape units
- Sealed to handle Las Vegas sun and traffic
What does stamped concrete cost in Las Vegas?
Stamped concrete costs more than broom finish because the pattern, color, and timing demand more skilled labor and materials. Here are the typical ranges Las Vegas homeowners see. Get a free on-site estimate for a number specific to your project.
Standard stamped concrete
Single-color stamped patios and driveways with a standard pattern typically run $13 to $20+ per square foot installed, including color hardener, release agent, pattern stamping, and a quality sealer.
Premium stamped patio work
Multi-color designs, custom borders, complex patterns, and larger patio pours with accent inlays can reach $18 to $31 per square foot. The more design complexity, the more labor and material time involved.
What moves the price
Pattern complexity, number of colors, slab size, any demo of existing concrete, and the condition of the existing subbase all factor in. We give you an itemized quote so you know exactly what you are paying for before any work begins.

Patterns We Stamp Most
We carry a deep set of stamp mats and color hardeners, so you are not locked into one look. Here are the designs Las Vegas homeowners ask for most.
Ashlar Slate
Clean, random-sized stone blocks. A versatile pattern that works on both modern and traditional homes.
Flagstone
Irregular, natural stone shapes with grout lines for an organic, hand-laid look.
Running Bond Brick
Classic brick layout for walkways, borders and entries that want a timeless feel.
Cobblestone
Old-world rounded stone, great for driveway aprons, courtyards and accents.
Wood Plank
The warmth of timber decking with none of the rot, splinters or termites.
Custom Borders & Bands
Contrasting color borders and inlays to frame a patio or break up a large pour.
Timing Is Everything With Stamping
Stamped concrete is unforgiving. The crew has one window to press the pattern before the slab sets, so it comes down to experience and a tight process. We start with a free quote, prep a solid base, pour quality mix, color it, and stamp the pattern at exactly the right moment. Then we seal it.
- Free on-site quote and design consult
- Proper base and reinforcement for our soil
- Color hardener and release worked in as we pour
- Sealed finish that deepens color and adds protection
Our stamped concrete installation process
1. Design consult and pattern selection
We meet on-site, show you stamp mat samples, and walk through color options. Color systems like Davis Colors and Solomon Colors give us hundreds of integral color choices, and Brickform and Increte pattern systems cover everything from slate to cobblestone. We nail down the design before the pour date is set.
2. Site prep and base work
Excavation and base compaction happen before any concrete is ordered. Stamping is applied to the surface, not the structure underneath, so the base has to be solid. Caliche, soft spots, or poor drainage get addressed at this stage.
3. Forms and steel reinforcement
Forms define the final edges and any border shapes. Rebar or wire mesh is set at mid-slab depth. The border pattern, if there is one, gets its own form work so the accent color stays crisp and separate from the field pattern.
4. Color hardener and release application
Integral color or a broadcast color hardener goes into or onto the wet concrete to establish the base color. A powder or liquid release agent is applied over the surface before stamping, which gives the recessed joints their accent tone and keeps the mats from bonding to the slab.
5. Stamping window
This is the step that requires experience. The crew monitors slab firmness and stamps the pattern in a tight coordinated sequence before the concrete gets too stiff. Each mat impression has to align with the last. Done right, the pattern flows seamlessly across the entire pour.
6. Cleanup, curing, and quality sealer
Excess release agent is washed off, revealing the two-tone contrast between field and joint color. The slab cures, and a UV-stable penetrating sealer goes on to protect the color and surface from Las Vegas sun and abrasion. We go over maintenance with you before we leave.

Stamped concrete vs. stained concrete: which is right for your Las Vegas project?
Both turn plain concrete into something worth looking at, but they work in completely different ways. Here is the short version. For the full breakdown, read our stamped vs. stained guide or compare options on the stained concrete page.
| Factor | Stamped Concrete | Stained Concrete |
|---|---|---|
| What it changes | Texture and pattern (shape) | Color and tone only |
| How it is applied | Pressed into wet concrete during the pour | Applied to cured concrete, new or existing |
| Mimics | Stone, brick, slate, wood plank, cobblestone | Marble, earth tones, custom color |
| Works on existing slab | No, needs a fresh pour (or overlay) | Yes |
| Typical installed cost | About $13 to $20+ per sq ft | Typically less; varies by stain type and prep |
| Maintenance | Reseal every 2 to 3 years | Reseal every 1 to 3 years |
Many Las Vegas patios use both: a stamped slab with a stain applied over it for extra color depth. Ask us about combination finishes during your free estimate.
Stamped Concrete FAQ
Can stamped concrete really pass for natural stone or brick?
Yes. With the right stamp mat, color hardener and a release accent, stamped concrete convincingly copies stone, slate, brick and wood. Up close you will see it is one continuous surface, which is actually a benefit, since there are no joints to weed, settle or trip on.
How does Las Vegas heat affect stamped concrete?
Intense sun and big temperature swings are the main stress here, not rain. We use proper control joints, the right mix and a quality sealer so the surface resists fading and surface cracking. A reseal every two to three years keeps the color and protection strong.
Is stamped concrete cheaper than pavers or flagstone?
For most projects, yes. You get a comparable look for less, both to install and to maintain, because there are no individual units to reset and no gaps for weeds. We will give you a clear, itemized quote so you can compare it honestly against other materials.
How much maintenance does stamped concrete need?
Very little. Rinse or sweep it like any patio, and reseal it every couple of years to refresh the color and keep the protective layer intact. That is the whole routine for most homeowners.
How much does stamped concrete cost in Las Vegas?
Standard stamped concrete typically runs $13 to $20+ per square foot installed. Premium designs with multiple colors, decorative borders, or complex patterns can reach $18 to $31 per square foot. The pattern choice, slab size, and existing site conditions all affect cost. A free on-site estimate gives you an exact number for your specific project.
Do I need a permit for stamped concrete in Las Vegas?
Permit requirements depend on what you are pouring and where in Clark County you live. A stamped patio slab often does not require a permit on its own, but a patio cover tied to the slab or work in a setback may. The City of Las Vegas and Henderson each have their own thresholds. We handle the permits when the project needs them. See our Las Vegas concrete permit guide for details.
Can stamped concrete be added over an existing slab?
Yes, with a stamped concrete overlay. A micro-topping or overlay is applied to a sound, prepared existing slab and then stamped and colored. It is a good option when the original slab is in decent structural shape but looks tired. We evaluate the existing surface first to confirm it is a good candidate before recommending the overlay route.
What color and pattern options are available?
We work with industry-standard color systems including Davis Colors and Solomon Colors for integral and broadcast color options, and Brickform and Increte stamp mat systems for pattern selection. Between these systems we can cover dozens of patterns, from ashlar slate and flagstone to cobblestone and wood plank, in a wide range of earth tones, reds, tans, and custom blends.
How long does stamped concrete last in Las Vegas?
A properly poured and maintained stamped slab can last 25 years or more in a desert climate. The keys are a solid base, correct mix design for the heat, quality initial seal, and resealing on a schedule, typically every two to three years in full sun. Color fade and surface wear from a skipped reseal are the main reasons stamped concrete looks rough before its time.
