The Slab You Already Have, Made Better
Concrete polishing uses progressively finer diamond grinding to turn a dull slab into a smooth, reflective surface. No tile, no coating, no flooring to buy or replace. You are refining the concrete itself, which is why a polished floor lasts so long and shrugs off the traffic that wrecks other surfaces.
It is a favorite for both homes and businesses here. The reflective surface bounces light around a space, which cuts lighting needs and keeps interiors cooler feeling. There is nothing to wax or strip, spills wipe right up, and the finish holds its shine under forklifts, foot traffic and dropped tools alike.
- Uses your existing slab, nothing to tear out
- Reflects light and brightens the room
- No waxing, stripping or coating to maintain
- Stands up to heavy traffic and equipment
Residential and Commercial Polishing
Polished concrete fits almost any interior slab. Here is how Las Vegas homeowners and businesses put it to work.
Home Floors & Garages
A clean, modern interior floor or a garage surface that resists oil, hot tires and dropped tools.
Retail & Showrooms
A bright, upscale floor that looks sharp and handles constant foot traffic without wearing down.
Warehouses & Industrial
A durable, dust-controlled surface rated for forklifts, pallet jacks and heavy daily use.
Restaurants & Offices
An easy-to-clean floor that takes spills and traffic while keeping a finished, professional look.
Gloss Level Options
From a satin matte to a high mirror gloss, we grind to the sheen you want for the space.
Color & Pattern Add-Ons
Pair polishing with dyes or saw-cut patterns to match your decor or brand.
Grit by Grit to the Finish You Pick
Polishing is all about working through the grits in order. We start with coarse diamond tooling to flatten and open the slab, then step up through finer pads, hardening the surface with a densifier along the way. We stop at the gloss level you chose, then seal it to lock in the shine and make cleanup easy.
- Slab assessment and repair of cracks first
- Multi-step diamond grinding and honing
- Densifier to harden and strengthen the surface
- Final polish and seal at your chosen sheen

Six Steps From Rough Slab to Finished Floor
Every polishing job follows the same sequence. Skipping or rushing any step shows in the result, so we work through them in order every time.
1. Slab Assessment
We walk the floor before any equipment comes out. Cracks, previous coatings, soft spots and moisture are all flagged. Repairs are planned now so nothing surprises us mid-job.
2. Crack and Surface Repair
High spots are ground down, cracks and voids are filled. A flat, sound slab grinds evenly across the whole floor. Surface problems left in place will be visible in the finished shine.
3. Coarse Diamond Grinding
We start at the grit that matches your chosen aggregate exposure. A cream finish stays near the surface. Salt-and-pepper cuts slightly deeper. Full aggregate exposure removes more material and reveals the stone in the mix.
4. Progressive Honing and Densifier
We step through medium and fine grits, applying a penetrating densifier to harden the surface as we go. For projects that include color, Scofield concrete dyes are worked in at this stage and polished into the slab for a permanent result.
5. Final Polish to Your Gloss Level
The last grit pass brings the floor to your specified sheen. Low-sheen satin is practical and hides scuffs. High mirror gloss maximizes light reflection and makes a strong visual statement in a showroom or lobby.
6. Guard Coat and Handoff
A guard or sealer applied over the polished surface protects against spills and staining and makes daily upkeep as simple as a damp mop with a neutral cleaner.
What Concrete Polishing Costs in Las Vegas
We price polishing after a free on-site estimate because the number depends on the specific floor. Here are the factors that move the cost up or down.
Aggregate Exposure Level
A cream finish stays close to the surface and requires less removal. Salt-and-pepper cuts a bit deeper to show the top layer of aggregate. Full aggregate exposure removes the most material and takes the most grinding time and tooling. More depth means more cost.
Gloss Level
A matte or satin finish wraps up after fewer grit passes. A high-gloss or mirror finish works through the full range of finer pads. Each additional pass adds time, so the shinier you want it, the more it costs to get there.
Slab Condition
A flat, sound slab with no coatings is the fastest possible starting point. Cracks that need filling, old coatings or paint that need grinding off, soft spots or uneven surfaces all add prep time before the actual polishing sequence can start.
Space Size and Layout
Large open floors let the equipment run efficiently, which lowers the cost per square foot. Tight rooms, columns, transitions between areas, stairwells and obstacles slow production and raise it. We account for all of that in the estimate.

Why is polished concrete a greener flooring choice?
It uses the slab you already have, so there is no new flooring to manufacture, ship or eventually throw away. It needs no waxes or harsh strippers to maintain, and its reflectivity can lower lighting and cooling demand. Less material, less waste, less ongoing chemical use.
How does Las Vegas heat affect a polished floor?
Polished concrete lives indoors, so it is well shielded from the worst of the desert weather. Inside, it actually helps, since the reflective surface keeps spaces feeling cooler and brighter. With normal cleaning and an occasional reseal, a polished floor here lasts for years.
Can you add color or a pattern to the polish?
Yes. We can work in dyes for color and saw-cut patterns or borders to match your decor or brand, then polish over the top. You are not limited to plain gray.
Can any concrete floor be polished?
Most can, but the slab has to be structurally sound. We assess yours first, repair cracks and surface damage, and if it is too far gone we will tell you and suggest resurfacing instead. We do not polish a floor that will not hold up.
What gloss level should I choose?
It depends on how the space is used. Retail floors and lobbies often go high-gloss because the light reflection makes the room feel larger and more finished. Homes and garages often do better with a satin finish that hides daily scuffs and keeps a clean look without showing every footprint. We bring samples on-site so you can see the difference in your actual light before we commit to a direction.
How long does a concrete polishing project take?
A typical room or garage takes one to three days. Larger commercial floors take longer depending on square footage and layout. The work is done wet, so there is no strong chemical odor, and the floor can be reoccupied faster than a coating like epoxy, which needs cure time before traffic.
What is the difference between polished concrete and an epoxy coating?
Polishing refines the concrete itself, so there is no film to peel, yellow under UV or chip at the edges. Epoxy is a coating applied on top of the slab, which means it can delaminate if moisture comes up from below or the surface was not prepared correctly. A polished floor is more work upfront but holds up better over time, especially in a Las Vegas garage where hot tires and temperature swings are hard on coatings.
Does a polished floor need to be resealed?
Not often. For most residential floors, a maintenance coat every few years keeps the guard layer performing the way it should. Commercial floors with heavy spill exposure or constant traffic may need attention sooner. Day to day, just damp mop with a neutral pH cleaner and the floor stays in good shape.
Can polishing be done while a commercial space is still operating?
Yes. We section off the work area and operate in phases so the rest of the building stays open. Our equipment is dustless and low-odor, which makes it practical to work around employees or customers. We coordinate the schedule with you to keep disruption to a minimum.
